Swedish Massage promotes mental and physical relaxation that soothes the entire body. This traditional style massage is slow and rhythmic with light to medium pressure.
We want you to undress to your comfort level, but we do encourage you to completely undress. If you do not completely undress, lotion may get on your clothes and the massage therapist might not be able to get to all the muscles concerning your problem areas. You stay covered during your massage. If at any time, you’re not comfortable, please let your therapist know so they can address your concern.
During a massage you need to stay relaxed. If you are holding your breath or tensing leg muscles while you’re getting your neck massaged, it’s too much pressure. If you can’t feel the massage, you need more pressure. The massage therapist will check in to see if you want more, less or if the pressure is just right. Please vocalize the amount of pressure you need so that you have the experience that’s just right for you.
No, you are in control of the whole session. If you don’t want to talk, then be quiet and if you do want to talk, please feel free. The therapist will follow your lead. You can also tell the therapist that you want a quiet massage at the beginning of your session. This doesn’t hurt our feelings and we are happy to give you what you need.
